MTV and Thames International Business School certainly proved that old cliché wrong when they recently celebrated the culmination of Thames First Student Entrepreneur’s Fair with a hip-hop, R&B concert dance party entitled "MTV Blast" at the newest hip place, Zillion recently at Robinsons Galleria.
Thames spearheaded a successful two-day fair at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall, which featured and honored some of the country’s most innovative and creative student entrepreneurs. The fair confirmed once and for all that Thames’ thrust of promoting entrepreneurship in the country has been accepted with much enthusiasm by the public.
MTV supported this fair, and together with Thames, organized the MTV post-fair party which featured the country’s top R&B bands, K-24/7 and Seven Shots of Wisdom. The party was highlighted by the hip-swaying spinning of DJ Kristyles who served the jampacked crowd with the latest hip hop, R&B dance music. The appreciative crowd stayed on and danced the night away.
Spotted in the crowd was indefatigable Thames director Joel Santos, who also hosted a portion of the event together with MTV’s vivacious Anne Matoto. Also seen partying with the young generation of entrepreneurs were MTV & Penshoppe Youth Council member Uriah Van der Boss, MTV VJ KC Montero and MTV execs Bong Paderna and Rod Nepomuceno, and Thames’ Suzanne King and Rahul Patel.
MTV Blast certainly proved once again the drawing power of MTV and its knack for coming up with the most exciting musical events.
