Rock the riles 2008

Take the train tomorrow, folks! RockEd Philippines is holding its third annual Rock the Riles.

This Sunday, Dec. 7, over 60 performers will hold eight simultaneous events at the eight MRT stations along Metro Manila’s historic avenue, EDSA.

The event is held in celebration of International Human Rights Day.

RockEd founder Gang Badoy tells Supreme, “This gathering is our rally of sorts, that one time we decide to physically come together and say the same thing at the same time. That one time we decide to pool our voices and say ‘No more excuses, Philippines!’”

Among the artists scheduled to appear are Radioactive Sago Project, Sugarfree, Up Dharma Down, Ang Bandang Shirley, Urbandub, Taken by Cars, Cambio, Chicosci, Nyco Maca, Faspitch, and the rap artists from the film Tribu.

Cool acts like Gasulina, Chillitees, Giniling Festival, Join the Club, Paramita, Jeepney Joyride, Swissy, Juan Pablo Dream, Ciudad, Outerhope, Out of Body Special, Hilera, Peryodiko, and Mozzie are also expected.

So, choose a station, watch a gig, take a stand, and rock and roll! Rock the Riles 2008 happens from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 7, at any MRT station nearest you.
