When did you most feel God’s presence in your life?

Every moment in my life God is always with me, just waiting for me to call on Him.

If we always keep Him in our hearts and minds, then every thing we do and say will not cause hurt. There will be more sincere people in our world and life will be so much happier.

Today is Easter Sunday and after a week of reflection let us continue to seek God’s plans for us. There is no greater happiness other than His presence in our lives.

CONEY REYES, actress
: I have felt the overwhelming presence of God in my life so many times in different situations. He is truly an awesome God. Mighty in power, overflowing with His wisdom, His mercy and His grace. I long for His presence each day and this is why I make time daily to be with our Lord in prayer, in worship, in reading His word. He guides me, comforts me. There is no greater joy than being in our dear Lord’s presence.

HEHERSON ALVAREZ, senatorial candidate
: I felt God’s presence when I was into hiding during martial law and there was a shoot-to-kill order for me. I went to a penthouse in Quezon City to pray. After praying I felt I had to go down to join the group of Sotero Laurel at the basement as a team of soldiers arrived at the penthouse to arrest me. I evaded arrest and I was able to hide and escape to the US. It was there that I organized the anti-martial law group.

WILLIE REVILLAME, TV personality
: The day I was born I knew God was beside me because I am His son. Alam ko lagi ko siyang kasama dahil nasa isip at puso ko ang Panginoon.

AGNES MANTOLINO, businesswoman
: God is an ever-present figure in my life, but I felt His presence most when I learned I was pregnant with my son Paolo and I contracted German measles. Fearing that the baby would be born either deaf or blind as a result of the affliction, I sought God’s divine intercession so that my child would be healthy. I went to Baclaran and Quiapo churches and walked down the aisle on my knees. God blessed me with a healthy boy who has sound hearing, is appreciative of good music and has the most charming set of eyes in the whole world.

ANGELA M. ARROYO, presidential daughter-in-law:
When I am with my family I am truly happy – having a beautiful daughter, a loving husband and supportive family. I am also able to go on retreats, and have also been to the Holy Land and Lourdes.

TONI ABAD, events and promotions manager for Rustan’s Cosmetics
: When I was really sick and was going to be operated. I knew that He was with me all throughout that ordeal. The Lord made me strong when I was at the weakest point in my life. I will be forever grateful to Him for that.

MARC LOGAN, radio and TV personality
: I don’t know if you will believe me but when my daughter Mara was barely one year old, she walked down the stairs in her stroller. There were 11 steps. I saw her body plunge from the top of the stairs. She never hit any of the steps but came crashing straight to the front of the stairs, but on the third step before hitting the pavement I don’t know if my eyes deceived me but it looked as though Mara went in slow motion. I felt that someone caught her in mid-air and brought her down safely. I rushed her to the hospital to check if she had any fractures or hemorrhage but there was none. God is good, and He’s always here for us.

MIKE TOLEDO, news anchor
: I would be hard-pressed to identify a single event when I felt God’s presence because I feel His presence every day. I don’t want to sound pompous but since I was a kid and up to the present he has guided me as I travel through life’s turbulent waters. He blessed me with a wonderful family, good health, a good education, a stable career and good friends. Every day I never forget to thank Him for all this.

KIM ATIENZA, congressional candidate
: No epiphanies for me, I feel Him every single minute. I am extra close to Him now in my campaigning for a congressional seat, this being a crossroads in my life. I pray for physical and mental endurance.
