MANILA, Philippines - Pooches and felines dressed in cute costumes were the focus of attention at the “Bow & Wow Trick or Treat Pawty” successfully held at Greenbelt Park, Makati. The activity was part of the exciting year-long series of events lined up for 2012 by Bow & Wow, the first and only all-natural pet store for dogs and cats which carries the widest range of premium, additives-free, and preservative-free pet food from the USA.
Fun games, attractive prizes, and other event highlights like free grooming by Pup Culture and pet caricature for the first 20 early bird attendees spiced up the event. Pets were dressed up in eye-catching outfits and enjoyed lots of treats laid out specially for them. There was a sumptuous pet buffet from Bow & Wow and All 4 Pets Party. The happy and healthy pets and their humans were also observed by judges, who narrowed down their choices for the “Best Furry Friends” and “Pet Parents” awards.
The event’s emcee was Carla Dunareanu. Welcoming the pet parents and event supporters was relentless Cara Welfare Philippines president Nancy Cu-Unjieng. Compassions and Responsibility for Animals (CARA) Welfare Philippines a non-profit, non-government organization run by dedicated animal advocates and volunteers.
Net proceeds from the fun party were donated to CARA Welfare Philippines and the Laguna Pitbulls, abused dogs that the animal welfare organization is helping care for. The event had two parts – the Halloween Purr-ty for cats held in the morning, and the Howl-o-ween Party for poochies which unfolded in the afternoon.
