And so The A. Shop came about when a group of Mac-loving businessmen decided to follow their dream and open a store that not only offers the widest range of Mac-friendly products in town, but also has a staff on board that knows exactly what they’re selling.
The newest Apple premium reseller in Manila was recently launched at the Podium in Ortigas Center, with guests enjoying cocktails by Dome Café and the music of Up Dharma Down.
Seen at the launch were Senators Manny Villar, Alan Peter and Lani Cayetano, Pia Cayetano, and Butz Aquino, Congressman Ronny Zamora, various members of the Camera Club of the Philippines, and Apple’s Anthony Perreau and Colin Cheng who flew in from Singapore.
The 240-square meter store stocks the latest MacBooks and colorful iPods, plus hundreds of accessories from iPod speakers to cases and peripherals.
Some of my favorite stuff includes Gela skins to dress up your Mac or iPod, Mimibot flash drives, Chanel-inspired Krusell iPod cases, Skull Candy headphones, and various laptop cases in hemp. Oh and that mobile Mac stand I call the “iWant.”
The A. Shop’s president Greg Garcia tells us the store was designed by Apple and follows the look and feel that the Cupertino-based company wants to create in all its stores.
The Apple Customer Experience or ACE is the company’s core service philosophy, as seen in most Apple stores like The A.Shop. It allows customers to use the products in-store, including web browsing, unlike other computer stores where products are often just displayed in boxes.
The A.Shop is open daily from 10 a.m to 9 p.m. and is located at the 2nd floor of the Podium.
