The Bikram Yoga challenge

Manila, Philippines -  Bikram Yoga Alabang, one of the country’s leading Bikram yoga studios, recently launched its “4x4 Challenge” for the month of July.

To take part in the challenge, students must practice at least four times a week for four consecutive weeks to achieve their personal fitness goals. Successful challengers will receive a Bikram Yoga Alabang exclusive prize and “experience that sought-after transformation of the body,” says Ginger Diaz, studio director of Bikram Yoga Alabang.

Bikram yoga consists of 26 postures and two breathing exercises performed in a heated studio. “The heat is what makes Bikram stand out from other forms of yoga. The heated environment will maximize your stretching potential, allowing the muscles to perform more effectively. The heat also helps prevent muscle soreness,” notes Diaz. “Over time, you will also find that the practice improves your ability to focus and brings you the clarity of a sound mind.”

While a 90-minute class in the hot room can be quite challenging, it can also be highly beneficial. Last January, a total of 57 students accomplished Bikram Yoga Alabang’s 30-Day Challenge, inspiring more people to reap the benefits of continuous Bikram yoga practice.

“It might be challenging to begin with, but if you’re determined to stick to it, you will begin to notice that the benefits are endless. Bikram yoga practice can improve your posture and spine structure, balance, and flexibility. It can also strengthen muscles and help bring you peace and overall wellness.”

Bikram Yoga Alabang’s 4x4 Challenge is supported by Powerade and Lightwater. For inquiries and registration, call 846 5496 or visit Bikram Yoga Alabang at the 2nd floor, Commerce Center, Commerce Ave., Filinvest, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
