Heart-friendly dishes from the Julius Maggi Kitchen

MANILA, Philippines – Choosing to live a healthier lifestyle is a great motivator for you to take better care of your physical and overall well-being. Aside from proper exercise, keeping watch over the kind and amount of food you eat can do wonders.

Nestlé Club shares nutritious and mouthwatering recipes with its members, mostly women who look after their family’s welfare, during a series of cooking demos held recently at the Julius Maggi Kitchen (JMK). With chef Annalie Mariano, the “Good for the Heart Food demo explored the delicious uses for heart-friendly ingredients, cooking methods that lower the calorie count in dishes, and how healthful dishes can be mouthwatering treats.

“You can modify classic, calorie-filled recipes into healthier ones while maintaining the delicious taste. The simplest way is to lessen the ingredient containing a high amount of fat if you cannot totally eliminate it. You can also substitute a part of it with something that contains fewer calories but still tastes delicious,“ says chef Annalie.
