For the wedding month of June, Uptown/Downtown features four senior designers: Ronaldo Arnaldo, Luis “Chito” de los Santos, Rem Divino and Delby Bragais.
The couturiers clearly prioritized body-accentuating silhouettes and distinct accents in their creations. Also added to complete the look are wedding bags made by Rey Legarda. Having lived in Japan for 17 years, Legarda uses silk embroidered, vintage kimonos and obis as primary material in his work.
Ronaldo Arnaldo
Arnaldo created an off-the-shoulder mermaid gown in satin. The couturier incorporated side pleating with De la Renta bow sleeves.
Delby Bragais
Bragais fashioned an off-the-shoulder serpentina gown accented with fabric roses, Guipure lace and tulle.
Luis ‘Chito’ de los Santos
De los Santos presents a gown in white stretch lace with a diagonal pattern and matches it with a mermaid skirt in nude neoprene lining. The gown is embellished with metal buckle accents on the waist.
Rem Divino
Divino fabricated a vintage bridal gown of French lace and mikado fabric. He accents the outfit with champagne-colored dentelle appliqués.
