MANILA, Philippines - The unique and seamless fusion of timeless design and futuristic innovation was recently presented by Cole Haan Philippines at the launch of its LunarGrand Spring 2014 Collection at Hatch22 in Rockwell Power Plant Mall, Makati City.

Incorporating Nike’s innovative ultra-lightweight Lunarlon cushioning system into Cole Haan’s traditional construction techniques, the LunarGrand achieves unrivaled feel, flexibility and movement — redefining how classic dress shoes can move and function in modern urban environments.

During the event, noted photographers Tom Epperson, Jake Verzosa and Roy Macam with esteemed visual artists AJ Dimarucot and Robert Alejandro collaborated with the brand to come up with their own interpretation of the theme: The Grand Life.

The “Grand Life” according to Jeff Paulino, business unit head of 128 Dream Fountain Corp., is really a celebration of the life of each and every LunarGrand fan in the country. “The theme was in fact inspired by the many photos posted by LunarGrand fans on Instagram as well as in other social media wherein every aspect of their lives — from going to work to just having a relaxing sip of coffee, to the most eventful occasions such as landing their dream job and even to their own wedding. Their much loved pair of LunarGrand was there to celebrate with them,” Paulino said.

The event was also about launching the biggest collection of LunarGrands in the Philippines. Elaine Venturanza, merchandising manager of Cole Haan, said, “Part of this celebration really is bringing to the country what the fans like and have been asking for: more styles, and more colors of their beloved LunarGrand. We have brought in requested pairs back, together with the Spring 2014 collection, to finally have the biggest collection of LunarGrands in the Philippines.”

Venturanza added, “We have brought in three of our most vocal fans — solemovement.net’s, Philippine Azkals’ Anton del Rosario and fashion/lifestyle blogger David Guison of dgmanila.com — to share their love for the brand and share their experiences with the LunarGrand.”
