A rhapsody in silk

“To love is to see light.” — Victor Hugo

Brilliant! Artistic! Genius! These are just a few of the adjectives I attribute to the exquisitely gifted Josie Natori who has brought honor and international fame to the Philippines by way of her creative brilliance. I have attended countless fashion events but seldom as pleasing — aesthetically, visually and spiritually uplifting — as the recent Josie Natori fashion show at the Rizal Ballroom of the Shangri-La. Josie’s use of silk, meticulously handcrafted in the Philippines with delicately embroidered and superbly exceptional prints, is one show that her multitude of adoring fans will definitely long remember.

Mabuhay and congratulations, Josie Natori!

Magical moments

The ever charitable Inner Wheel Club of Manila recently held a fellowship event at the residence of Consul Fortune Ledesma. Gracing the affair were: (seated, from left) Minerva Tanseco, Christina Beltran, Yoli Ayson, Tess Castro and Alice Dee; (standing, from left) Tec Golangco, Daisy Payumo, Daisy Angara, Fortune Ledesma, Monette Guevarra, Peluchi Atayde, Leni Reyes and Maritess Pineda.

Congratulations!
