The Rotary Club of Makati Forbes Park celebrated its 10th Induction Ceremony at the Manila Polo Club with its newly installed president, Palmy Layug. Also inducted were its new set of officers and directors, president-elect Leo Garcia, vice president Renato Dragon, secretary Alberto Galano, treasurer Eduardo Escano, Hiro Assandas, directors Richard Jones, Robert Cullen, Fernando de Jesus, Luis Lokin, Jr., Ruben Torres, Edgardo Herbosa and Norlito Domantay. The club’s advisers are: Alexander Ledesma, Manuel Dizon, Charlie Uy, Rodolfo Robles, Alberto MG Garcia, Efren Palabyab, Benjamin Pastoral and Segundo Rodrigo.

The club was formed in February 1997 by a group of civic-minded citizens who believed that it was time to make a difference in the community. Starting with only 29 chartered members, the club has grown to 44 members providing effective and sustainable programs and projects to attain positive impact, action and meaningful results. Among them are nutrition and feeding program, medical and dental clinic, setting up of various technical livelihood centers, career guidance seminar, Rotary Watch and Gawad Kalinga livelihood projects. This year’s theme is "Lead The Way."
