13-year-old student stabs schoolmate
MANILA, Philippines — A 13-year-old boy was taken into police custody after he allegedly stabbed and wounded a schoolmate at a school in Davao City on Wednesday.
Probers have yet to determine the reason why the suspect stabbed his 11-year-old schoolmate at the SIR Elementary School in Barangay Matina.
A video posted on social media showed police tackling the suspect, pinning him to the ground.
A knife was recovered from the student.
Meanwhile, in Misamis Oriental, a Grade 3 student was caught bringing a gun and a knife to a school in Opol town.
The student was subjected to counseling following the incident, which occurred at the Barra Elementary School.
A Swiss knife and a .38-caliber pistol with five bullets were found in the student’s bag.
