Globe eyes corporate solutions unit as next growth driver

MANILA, Philippines — Telco-to-tech giant Globe Telecom Inc. expects its corporate solutions unit to contribute more income in the future after booking record revenues in the first half.
Globe said its corporate segment, which provides telco solutions to businesses, has the potential to prop up revenues in the long term.
Globe’s corporate revenues jumped by 15 percent to P11 billion in the first half, recording a new high for the segment.
The business contributed 13 percent to Globe’s P85.4-billion revenues in the first half, hence the telco is treating it as an income driver, especially in the advent of artificial intelligence.
Globe aims to capture a larger market in corporate demand, as enterprises seek more value in their subscriptions. Businesses are turning to telcos like Globe for digital solutions that improve the efficiency of their everyday operations.
Globe’s enterprise products range from cybersecurity solutions to internet packages, and the telco is depending on this portfolio to hike its enterprise revenues.
“The opportunity for Globe lies in sustaining enterprise demand and monetizing its infrastructure investments while maintaining service quality and controlling costs,” Globe said.
“Corporate data growth also provides a measurable indication of demand for digital capabilities, although future performance depends on continued customer adoption and returns generated by these investments,” the telco added.
Globe is also looking at its corporate business for growth trajectory as it could support higher earnings and enhance cash generation over time.
Globe is supporting its corporate expansion by investing in additional capabilities to meet future demand. The telco raised capital expenditures by 39 percent to P26.3 billion in the first half.
More than 91 percent of the spending went to infrastructure expansion, particularly on initiatives to widen network coverage and build up service quality.
For 2026, Globe is eyeing to maintain capex spending below $1 billion in line with its strategy to manage costs without compromising expansion.
