Ekomiya ng Maynila umabot sa P1.06 trilyon

MANILA, Philippines — Umabot sa P1.06 trilyon ang Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ng Maynila noong 2025, kaya nanatili itong ikatlong pinakamalaking city economy sa bansa, kasunod ng Quezon City at Makati City, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Batay sa datos ng PSA na inilabas noong Oktubre 6, kumatawan ang Maynila sa 14.6% ng kabuuang ekonomiya ng National Capital Region (NCR). Pinakamalaki ang ambag ng services sector na bumuo sa 77.4% ng GDP ng lungsod, habang 22.6% naman ang mula sa industry sector.

Nanguna sa mga industriya ang wholesale at retail trade, kabilang ang repair ng motor vehicles at motorcycles, na may 22% ambag sa GDP, sinundan ng manufacturing na 18.5% at public administration and defense na 15.4%. Pinakamabilis namang lumago ang transportation and storage sa 10%, human health and social work activities sa 9.4%, at education sa 6.4%.

Kabilang sa mga pangunahing nag-ambag sa paglago ang public administration and defense, transportation and storage, at human health and social work activities.
