MANILA, Philippines — Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) announced that starting Saturday, July 4, InstaPay transfers through its online banking platform Pulz and digital banking app DiskarTech will be free.

Free transfers on Pulz apply to the first 30 InstaPay transactions each month, with a minimum transfer amount of P100, RCBC said in an advisory.

DiskarTech, meanwhile, will offer unlimited free InstaPay transfers of up to P50,000 per transaction.

InstaPay is a real-time electronic fund transfer system launched by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in 2018 that enables individuals to transfer funds instantly or within seconds through a clear-before-settle arrangement.

RCBC is the second bank to announce zero-fee InstaPay transfers this July.

Beginning July 1, the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) also permanently waived interbank transfer fees. Free transfers on BPI cover both InstaPay and PESONet.

Both banks said the move was in accordance with BSP Circular No. 1238, s. 2026, which urges financial institutions to adopt "reasonable and fair" pricing for electronic fund transfers.
