MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos took to social media to express his greeting and appreciation to his wife, First Lady Liza Marcos, who turned 65 on Wednesday, saying she deserves to “slow down and be celebrated.”

“To my beautiful wife Liza Marcos, on this day you deserve to slow down and be celebrated by those who hold you dearest,” the President said in a Facebook post.

Marcos said he and their three children – Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos, Simon and Vincent – “are most grateful for you.”

“Happy Birthday, my First Lady!” the President said. The Facebook post was accompanied by a photo collage of the Marcos family.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority also honored the First Lady through a video titled, “Seasons of LAM” posted on its official X page.

The video showed Liza’s various activities as First Lady. Liza is leading the “Lab For All” program, which brings free health services to the public, especially to senior citizens.

“It’s really hard to balance as work takes up so much of our time. Well, it’s just not me, Liza also has a lot of things to do. So we try to find five minutes here, 20 minutes there, we eat together,” the President said.
