Comelec: 2025 voter list to contain voters’ photos
MANILA, Philippines — The voters’ list to be posted at polling precincts during the May 2025 elections will not only show the names of voters, but also their photos.
George Garcia, Commission on Elections chairman, said the Comelec would be posting the photos to make it easier for voters to find their polling precincts.
In past elections, only the Book of Voters held by the Electoral Boards in polling precincts had the pictures of voters. But the posted computerized voters’ list, or PCVL, placed usually outside the precincts only contains names of registered voters.
Garcia said that aside from the new PCVL, the online Precinct Finder would remain accessible to the public through the Comelec website to help voters identify where they can cast their votes.
The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting is also setting up voters’ assistance desks in all polling centers. Garcia said the PPCRV desk could assist voters in finding their assigned precincts.
