LIVE: Senate probe into BI bribery scandal – Day 4

MANILA, Philippines — The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee has started the fourth session of its inquiry to investigate the alleged bribery scandal at the Bureau of Immigration in connection to Chinese casino mogul Jack Lam.

Two top officials and two intelligence officers of the BI have been dismissed for being linked to a P50-million bribery scandal involving the Chinese casino mogul.

Wenceslao “Wally” Sombero, an alleged middleman of Lam, is expected to attend Thursday’s hearing after he arrived from Canada last Tuesday. He failed to attend the past Senate inquiry into the bribery allegation.
