UE grad tops licensure exam for dentists

MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of the University East (UE) topped the licensure examination for dentists, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.

With a score of 83.43 percent, Reina Diane Tajonera led the more than 500 examinees, followed in second place by University of the Philippines-Manila graduate Shane Siriban, who got a grade of 83.40 percent.

PRC said only 262 passed, out of the 457 who took the written examination and only 254 out of the 266 passed the practical examination held in Manila.

Another UP graduate Criszel Buenaventura placed third with a grade of 83.17 percent, while fellow UP graduate Daisy Jane Cas ranked fourth with a score of 82.90 percent.

Fifth placer was UP graduate Marc Julien Pilaspilas who obtained a grade of 82.70 percent, while another UP graduate Maxine Erika Mayores and Centro Escolar University’s Mostafa Mehrafsha both scored 82.57 percent and shared sixth spot.

Another UE graduate Rita Isabella Dolatre placed seventh with a grade of 82.53 percent and two UP graduates, Joanne RJ delos Reyes and Regina Carmela Pengson, shared the eighth spot with a grade of 82.50 percent.

Sid Karlo Sison, also of UE, captured the ninth spot with a score of 82.33 percent and UP graduate Angelica Rae Villasenor placed 10th with a grade of 82.14 percent.

The two-day registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start in June. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
