Former TESDA chief assumes OPS post

MANILA, Philippines - Former Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) director general Rogelio Peyuan, whose appointment was withdrawn two days after assuming office, yesterday took his oath of office as Press Undersecretary for broadcast.

Peyuan would be in charge of formulating and implementing a   communications and information campaign for energy conservation in Mindanao.

TESDA deputy director general for community and local government affairs Pastor Guiao takes over as TESDA chief.

Peyuan had accused his predecessor, Augusto Syjuco, of lobbying with the President to have him replaced after he refused to agree to a directive which will illegally use P700 million in TESDA funds. – Paolo Romero
