NP vows to steer RP out of poverty

MANILA, Philippines - The Nacionalista Party has vowed to steer the country out of poverty.

NP spokesman Gilbert Remulla said they will continue to fight poverty and corruption.

The NP spearheaded all investigations into corruption scandals involving the administration, he added.

Remulla said NP standard-bearer Manuel Villar Jr. has assured investors of the transparency of government transactions in his first 100 days as president.

Villar also vowed to make all biddings public by allowing live television coverage, he added.

Remulla said Villar will also go after tax evaders and smugglers to improve tax collection and lessen the gap in the budget deficit.

Meanwhile, Villar has reaffirmed over radio dzRH that the NP is the “real” opposition based on its actions and composition. – Christina Mendez
