Super lotto jackpot now P50 million
MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) officials reported yesterday that the jackpot for the Super Lotto 6/49 online lottery game has again breached the P50-million mark for tonight’s draw.
Conrado Zabella, assistant general manager for online operations of the PCSO, said the estimated jackpot for tonight is P54 million.
“Our conservative estimate is P54 million depending on sales,” he said.
Aside from the Super Lotto, the Power Lotto game drawn every Saturday is now P62 million pesos.
This is the fourth time since January that the jackpot prize hit the P50-million mark.
A 21-year-old saleslady from Sta. Maria, Bulacan and a retired driver from Makati City claimed their share of the P188-million jackpot prize early last month.
Zabella said the saleslady’s father, a local carpenter, accompanied her to claim her P94-million prize last Monday morning.
“She just picked a card and randomly selected six numbers that hit the winning combination (28-03-47-49-05-19), it was beginner’s luck,” he said.
It was only the second time that the winner had played the online lotto game.
The lucky winner intends to put her money in the bank and start her own business.
The retired driver brought his whole clan – children and grandchildren, even his in-laws – to the PCSO office when he claimed his P94-million prize.
“The retired driver said he will distribute his winnings to his relatives particularly, his grandchildren, and save some for his needs,” he said.
The two winners are the latest members of the so-called Super Lotto Millionaires Club.
For security reasons the PCSO does not release the identity of the winners.
