Jackie Chan up for another action film in 'Police Story 2013'

MANILA, Philippines- Jackie Chan retiring? Surprise! He releases a new film.

A retelling of his action film in the ’70s, “Police Story 2013” is about a dedicated policeman named Zhong Wen (Jackie), who works too hard he doesn't have time for his family.

As Zhong Wen buries his deep in his job, his daughter Miao Miao (played by Jing Tian) becomes rebellious and gets into a relationship with bar owner Wu Jiang (played by Liu Ye).

Miao Miao asked Zhong to meet her on her boyfriend’s bar, not knowing that she’s being used by Wu Jiang to get to his father.

Wu Jiang then hostages the bar's customers and asks for the freedom of Fu, a notorious criminal captured by Zhong years ago.

Jackie Chan said that physically, he had a hard time with the film because he did the fight scenes with real mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters.

“The fights were with genuine MMA (mixed martial arts) boxers, not stuntmen,” Jackie Chan reveals. “So, they didn’t know how to control their strength when we were filming the fight sequences. Those were rock-hard, solid punches and kicks.”

“Police Story 2013,” brought by Megavision Inc., will be in cinemas on January 22.
