Viva actor Lance Carr recently offered an update on his mobile phone, which was “stolen” during the “Vivarkada” concert in August last year at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

He said the lost phone was tracked to China after it was last located in Greenhills.

“Based on my phone tracker, it is now in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, but it made one stop in Greenhills before going to China,” Lance shared during the press conference for the Viva One series “Hell University.”

“My phone got there ahead of me. It was first traced to Greenhills, but who would admit to it if I went around checking the cellphone stores there? So I ignored it, bought a new one, and later saw that its new location was in China.”

Earlier, Lance’s friend and fellow Viva artist Marco Gallo posted a video showing a woman allegedly slipping her right hand into the back pocket of Lance’s jeans while socializing with him after the concert. In the video, Marco is heard offering a P20,000 reward.

“I told Marco, ‘What are you talking about? I don’t have P20,000 kung magpapa-reward ka ng P20,000,’” shared Lance, clarifying that he — not Marco — would be the one to give the reward.

Meanwhile, Lance plays Raze, the leader of the Devil God Warriors, in “Hell University,” directed by Bobby Bonifacio Jr. Rising love team Heart Ryan and Zeke Polina star in the lead roles in the series, now streaming on Viva One.

Raze always wears a mask but doesn’t conceal his striking red right eye. His real identity will shock the whole school.

Lance admitted feeling “uneasy at times when acting” due to the mask and contact lens he is wearing. “But naitawid naman ata, Direk, no? Yun yung nakaka-bother sa akin konti, but yeah, we bonded with the cast. And I think it’s safe to say we feel comfy and we trust each other now.”

Lance is acting alongside Aubrey Caraan, who plays the role of Samantha, a mysterious student who has a huge connection to what’s happening in the school.

“Hell University” is co-produced by Studio Viva and WEBTOON Productions. It is based on a Wattpad web novel written by KnightInBlack.

According to the media release, “Hell University” is a school where there’s no tuition fee and meals are free, but it’s also a secret school where no government laws apply. Violence is so normalized that there’s an allotted time for “Bloody Night,” from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., during which even murder is allowed.

“Hell University” is hidden from the world, but six adventurous friends somehow end up in it and even get themselves enrolled. Once inside, they get caught between two deadly rival gangs: the Black Blood Gang and the Devil God Warriors, whose long-standing war is rooted in the school’s dark past.

Heart (“Da Pers Family,” “Ang Mutya ng Section E”) plays Zein, the feisty and brave, though a bit reckless, girl whom her friends look up to as their leader. She will do everything to protect them. While fighting to stay alive, she crosses paths with the student council president called “Supremo.”

Zeke (“Ang Mutya ng Section E”) is the Supremo, whose real name is Ace Craige. He’s a man of few words with strong commanding power. Everyone knows that a warning from him must be taken seriously, or they could consider themselves as good as dead.

Playing Zein’s friends are Andre Yllana as Matt, who has a secret crush on Zein; Gabbi Ejercito as Mia; Derick Ong as Dave, Matt’s best friend; and Jastine Lim as Vanessa, who is smart and very outspoken. She and Jerome like each other.

The series also introduces young showbiz royalty Gabbi Ejercito (daughter of Bernadette Allyson and Gary Estrada) and Jac Abellana (son of Jojo Abellana and cousin of Carla Abellana). Gabbi plays Mia, the softest and sweetest in the group, but she can fight and stand up for her friends when push comes to shove; while Jac plays Jerome, the playful and dependable friend of the group.

Keagan de Jesus plays Nazzer, the nerdy and innocent-looking leader of the Black Blood Gang, while Jemima Rivera plays Nicky, the only girl in the Black Blood Gang, thus considered their queen.
