MANILA, Philippines — Comedian Michael V's teaser about a parody on "hearing" has some fans excited for him to "converse in British accent."

The longest-running comedy show in the country "Bubble Gang" posted a teaser video of Michael walking down a session room on its Facebook page.

In a yet-to-be named new character, Michael V, or Bitoy to his fans, sports a strikingly familiar white blazer, a mole on the face, and a wig. Some online users speculated that the character is inspired by the currently controversial contractor Sarah Discaya.

"Hindi pa tapos ang hearing," the show captioned the post.

The show is set to air on Sunday, 6:10 p.m.

The post generated a lot of engagements across all platforms, with quite a number of users appealing for Bitoy to speak with a British accent. The latter is a reference to Discaya's past interview where she said that she can do a British accent.

Meanwhile, Michael shared the post on his Facebook page.

"Hmm…," his brief caption read.

The internet went ablaze when Discaya first appeared on a Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on flood control projects earlier this week and social media users took notice of her resemblance to Michael V.

Even "Bubble Gang," which Michael V has been part of since it began, joined in the fun by superimposing an image of the comedian in white with a girlish haircut over a photo of Discaya at the Senate hearing.
