EXO’s Kai is ready to set the Philippines stage on fire

Brace yourselves, Filipino EXO-Ls! Kai is finally returning to Manila.
Kai of K-pop group EXO is set to own the stage and rule the hearts of Filipino fans for his “KAION” concert on July 27 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The South Korean pop star embarked on his first-ever solo tour following his military discharge in February and the release of his fourth mini album, “Wait On Me,” in April.
“Mabuhay, Philippines! It’s been a while,” he said in a video message unveiled by concert promoter PULP Live World.
“As I’m preparing for the show, I’m thinking back on some old memories, and I’m getting really excited to see you all again after such a long time,” the EXO main dancer further shared.

Widely recognized as the “King of Performance” due to his charismatic stage presence, Kai raised anticipation for his monumental comeback — a chance to reconnect up close with his beloved Filo EXO-L and Erigom.
“I’ll be bringing a full performance this time, too! So, I hope we can all have fun and enjoy the show together,” he remarked.
Despite thriving in the entertainment industry for 13 years now, Kai believes he still has more to offer with his craft, as he desires a lasting connection with his fans.
Such a belief was conveyed in the name of his concert tour, “KAION,” a portmanteau of Kai and the Greek word “aion,” which means forever. Simply put, Kai’s presence on stage signifies the “start of eternity.”
Since the beginning of his career as an EXO member in 2012, Kai’s artistry has been etched in the industry with their legendary hits such as Growl, Call Me Baby, Love Shot and Monster that reigned supreme in domestic and global music charts.
In 2019, he and co-member Baekhyun became a part of SuperM, a performance-based group dubbed “The Avengers of K-pop,” composed of artists from SM Entertainment’s established boy bands (SHINee, EXO, NCT and WayV).
Venturing into a solo career, Kai successfully debuted as a soloist in 2020 through his self-titled mini album that dominated the iTunes Top Albums charts in 50 countries. Its R&B title track, Mmmh, was the longest-charting K-pop song on the Spotify Global Viral 50.
He later dropped his second extended play, “Peaches,” in November 2021, which has been certified platinum by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA) after reaching 250,000 album sales.
Kai’s third solo mini album, “Rover,” was another milestone for him after it debuted straight at No.1 on the Circle Album Chart in 2023. The title track of the same name even sent netizens and his fellow idols abuzz, prompting them to hop into a dance challenge on social media.
Outside the world of music, the 31-year-old artist has proven his versatility with acting roles in several dramas, namely “Choco Bank,” “7 First Kisses,” “Andante” and “Spring Has Come.”
He even took on the world of variety shows. Showing his playful and witty personality, he is currently the host of “JEONGWAJA” (Changing Majors), a popular web variety show where he gets to experience different academic fields.
As he remains in the entertainment spotlight, Kai is ready to make core memories with his fans who have been rooting for him in every endeavor.
Tickets to Kai’s solo show in Manila are still available on the Ticketnet website and its outlets. Fans may also enjoy exciting fan benefits, such as a soundcheck session, group photo opportunity, special ID and lanyard, photocard, and souvenir show card, apart from having the chance to witness Kai’s discography live.
