MVP Group gathers 200 stars for Christmas party for a cause

It’s not every day that you’ll see Willie Revilliame and Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon in one massive production number by the one and only Johnny Manahan or Mr. M, as we all fondly call him in showbiz.

Besides these icons, the MVP Group Christmas Party which was dubbed “Merry ang Vibes ng Pasko.” Aside from those mentioned, the powerhouse event was headlined by today’s hottest performers Maja Salvador, apl.de.ap, Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo.

Also spreading joy at the event is the star-studded lineup from TV5 and MediaQuest, featuring top stars such as Korina Sanchez-Roxas, Aga, Charlene and Atasha Muhlach, as well as many other special guests such as Martin Nievera and Carlos Yulo.

Even News5, One PH and One News personalities were in on the fun as Dimples Romana, Cathy Yang, Angela Lagunzad, DJ Cha Cha, Laila Chikadora, Jove Francisco, Rizza Diaz, Julius Babao, Lourd De Veyra, Diego Castro, Cheryl Cosim and yours truly were there to celebrate and help raise funds as well.

Over 8,000 employees and representatives of the MVP Group were present.

What made the major event really special was how the MVP Group managed to mount such a big show and fundraising that was still true to its core of being a Christmas party.

From the audience side to the backstage, everyone was singing on top of their lungs to Bituin Escalante’s number.

The crowd was also in unison learning the “Merry ang Vibes ng Pasko” TikTok dance. The backstage monitors also allowed everyone on standby to be entertained by the banters and performers of people taking the lead in the program.

It was such a beautiful and memorable sight to see as Tito Sen put it, “TV5 and Mediaquest are just one part of the MVP Group. So having everyone here in one night is just fun!”

More than the fun, it was important to note that the “Merry ang Vibes ng Pasko” campaign included a donation drive to support relief efforts and help rebuild communities devastated by recent typhoons which culminated last Dec. 12 during the grand event.

Participating companies included PLDT, Smart, Meralco, Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, Mediaquest Holdings, Cignal TV, TV5, The Philippine STAR, Maynilad, Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., Metro Pacific Health, Philex Mining, Landco Pacific Corp., the various foundations under the MVP Group and many others.

“Merry ang Vibes ng Pasko” honored the courage and resilience of MVP Group frontliners who tirelessly served the nation throughout the pandemic and recent typhoons, particularly those performing essential services such as electricity and water.

Their inspiring stories will be shared, highlighting the MVP Group’s commitment to the Filipino people. “We are thankful that we are able to bring together our companies and share the spirit of Christmas with our fellow Filipinos,” said Manuel V. Pangilinan.

“‘Merry ang Vibes ng Pasko’ is a celebration of our shared values, our gratitude for our frontliners, and our continued mission to serving our communities.”

MVP’s commitment to nation building is just astounding as he never forgets to incorporate it into all the groups activations, events and efforts encompassing each company under his wing.
