For Heart Evangelista, health is wealth
Amazing is how actress and social media personality Heart Evangelista manages her schedule daily, either when she’s in town or even out of the country.
“I wake up very early in the morning and always make sure I have a quiet time,” Heart disclosed. “I have a diary. I never let go of my journal because it’s always nice to be grateful and assess your life.”
As much as possible, Heart wants to have her fur babies around her. “I feel like they are my angels,” she said about her dogs.
She recently started endorsing Zion massage chair. “I don’t think there’s anything like that in the market,” Heart said. “It’s like a Universal Studios ride. It’s amazing. The others that I love about the chair is the major pressure it gives on the feet and legs.
“In my talks, I always promote self-care,” Heart said. “I think that was where Zion and I connected. When they spoke to me about the chair, it was very easy for me to decide.
“I think that was how it really works. When you partner with a brand, you have to have the same value. Self-care and loving yourself are really something I love to advocate to people who are really career-oriented and hardworking.”
Interestingly, Heart equates the massage chair to “love,” her real name, Love Marie. “At the end of the day, no matter what you face in life, we all have our set of problems,” she maintained. “We have our struggles, we all have bills to pay.”
“You really need to go home to something you feel secure and loved. A place where you know you’ll going to be taken care of.
“You have to put yourself first, take care of yourself, before you can do anything for other people. It’s love for others and love for yourself. We should always put ourself first.”
Heart is leaving on May 18 to be with hubby Chiz Escudero. She will join Chiz in Venice, Italy.
“After that, I go back to Paris, then I have an event in Italy for a brand,” she said. “I love being on the go. I’m one of the few people who truly enjoy what I do. I’ve been working for a long time, 24 years. But I’m grateful. Up to now, there’s really something about me.”
There came a point in Heart’s life where she focused solely on work. “I’m still very focused on work and I like to work a lot, but ever since before, because of my mom and the people around me, advised me to have time for myself.
“I’m more of a people-pleaser when we were young. I just want to be accepted. I still want to be accepted, but then because of all the struggles in life, you realize your self-worth. Loving yourself also changes. It goes up higher and higher. Definitely, it changes.”
Heart is approaching her fourth decade. She turned 38 last Feb. 14. Aside from investing in herself, Heart does a lot of research about eating properly. Sometimes, she does 24-hour fasting.
Of course, Heart is afraid of aging. “I’m afraid of feeling things that I didn’t feel before,” she admitted. “I just don’t want to get sick. Health is wealth. Even if you have lots of money, if you will get sick, you will find it hard. You can easily save if you’re healthy.”
