MANILA, Philippines — Original Pilipino Music (OPM) band Parokya ni Edgar denied that they're slated to perform in an upcoming Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte campaign rally.

In the band's official Facebook page, Parokya posted posted a screenshot of a Facebook post that was claiming and promoting that the band is to be  included in the Zamboanga campaign sortie of the presidential and vice presidential aspirants.

"This is not true," the band wrote in the caption.

According to the post, Parokya ni Edgar will perform alongside Cong TV, Zack Tabudlo, Kamikazee, Agsunta, Philia and Toni Gonzaga.

Blaster Silonga of IV of Spades and Zack Tabudlo also denied that they will be performing in the sortie.

“Seryosong sagot. Kailanman hindi mangyayari ito, ngayon palang sinusunog ko na ang tulay,” Blaster said on Facebook.

“Awit peyk news na nga lang di pa magandang picture ginamit sakin,” Zack said.

Meanwhile, social media user Nikki Siena also shared a screenshot of her conversation with Agsunta frontman Jireh Singson asking the vocalist if they are included in the lineup.

Jireh debunked the post, saying it was "fake news."

"Yan minessage ko na si Jireh (vocalist ng Agsunta) to confirm if legit ba na kasali sila sa event ni BBM. Peyk daw mga pare. Paladesisyon naman mga fans ni BabyM," the social media user captioned her post.
