KOREA — Five months after the release of their hit song “Bboom Bboom,” Korean pop sensation group Momoland released the music video of their new single “Baam” that features Filipino culture.

The music video features the nine members Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, Nancy, Taeha, and Daisy, looking for four different colored pieces of jewelry hidden in different countries such as South Korea, Vietnam, France, Egypt and the Philippines.

Nancy, the “lookalike” of Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano, can be seen waving the Philippine flag, while other members are wearing “baro't saya” while dancing in front of colorful jeepneys.

Last June 23, Momoland announced that they are visiting the Philippines this August to meet their Filipino fans as well as Liza, who they want to dance “Bboom Bboom” with.

The video of their new song spreads like wildfire in different social media sites in the country, a sign that the Filipinos are excited to finally see the girl group and watch them perform.

Months ago, Nancy reacted to netizens’ comparison of her to Liza. Nancy’s co-members in the group, Daisy and Ahin, described the Filipino actress as “so beautiful” and “so pretty.” After seeing Liza’s picture for the first time, Nancy did not only agree that she looks like Liza; she said Liza also looks like Ariana Grande.  — Video from YouTube/1theK
