Rhian, Max & Lovi: So who got away?

FUNFARE - Ricky Lo - The Philippine Star
Rhian, Max & Lovi: So who got away?
The stars of the GMA sexyromantic-comedy series The One That Got Away (TOTGA, from left: Max Collins, Rhian Ramos and Lovi Poe) are all spoken for in real life, but only one of them, Max, is married (to Pancho Magno)

And finally tonight, followers of the GMA sexy-romantic-comedy series will know the one who got away. If not any of the three girls — Lovi Poe, Rhian Ramos and Max Collins — could it be... well, find out for yourselves. Clue: there will be three weddings.

The Kapuso opener for 2018, The One That Got Away (TOTGA) is about three women who formed an unlikely but strong friendship after discovering that in different times of their lives, they were linked to the same guy (Dennis Trillo who, in real life, couldn’t get away from Jennylyn Mercado). The phrase became popular when Aga Muhlach referred to Lea Salonga as TOTGA in his letter for the souvenir of Lea’s anniversary concert at the PICC last year.

TOTGA will air its finale tonight.

Funfare requested Lovi, Rhian and Max to “complete the sentence(s).”

The 10 Memorable songs in Richard’s life

Married for a few years, Richard Poon and Maricar Reyes (photo) have yet to have a child. “In God’s good time,” said Maricar.

Unlike most couples, they don’t have any theme song because she’s not “the theme song kind of person,” adding, “but I love how he sang the Beatles song And I Love Her which is part of his Legends album.”

If and when Richard sings that song in his 10th-anniversary concert RP10 tonight at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila (RWM), he will surely make Maricar swoon all over again. His special guests are Kean Cipriano, Sitti, Nyoy Volante, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos and Richard Yap. (For tickets, call Ticketworld at 891-9999.)

As a nod to his 10 years as a singer, Funfare asked Richard to make a list of “The 10 Memorable Songs” in his life.

1. You and I (by Shirley Bassey) — This song’s music video shoot is where I met my wife in 2009.

2. Every Breath You Take (by Sting) — I had a childhood dream to become a bassist and vocalist like Sting.

3. My Way (by Frank Sinatra) — One of my Dad’s favorite songs to sing.

4. Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko (by Rey Valera) — My most frequently requested tagalog song at weddings.

5. I’ll Take Care of You (the carrier single of my ?rst ever Crooner album that went double platinum in 2008).

6. Beautiful Girl (by Jose Mari Chan) — I appreciate my ninong Jose Mari Chan for his advice to keep writing original songs.

7. Yue Liang Tai Piao Wotexin /The Moon Represents My Heart (by Teresa Teng) — the ?rst popular Chinese song I learned to sing.

8. The Way You Look Tonight (by Frank Sinatra) — It represents what a crooner’s music is. Millennials know this song even if it was written in 1936.

9. Always With Me, Always With You (by Joe Satriani) — Highest-ranking Billboard guitar solo song by my favorite guitarist.

10. Keep This Love Alive (by Tom Scott) — My favorite song when I was playing in the band scene after college.
