How Robin Padilla accepted Kylie’s pregnancy

MANILA, Philippines — What grandfather-to-be Robin Padilla has to say about his pregnant daughter Kylie?

According to Kylie, she and fiancé, Aljur Abrenica, did not publicly admit her pregnancy immediately because they wanted to tell their families first.

“Kasi ayaw naming nauunahan. We want to be respectful. Ayaw namin na sa labas malalaman, so we went to my dad and told him, ‘Pa, I’m pregnant,’ after a few days n’ung date na lumabas (na positive sa pregnancy test). And then, I told my mom,” Kylie narrated in an interview with Philstar.com.

How did Robin react?

“Ang sabi n’ya lang, ‘Alagaan n’yo ‘yung apo ko,'” the actress shared.

Kylie said her stepmom, Mariel Rodriguez, has also been very happy for her.  

“She’s super supportive. Lahat ng gamit na hindi n’ya nagamit, ang sabi n’ya, ‘Sige sa’yo na.’ Okay! Thanks! Ayokong gumastos!” Kylie recalled with a laugh.
