Miss USA beauties set to cover Miss Universe in the Philippines
MANILA, Philippines — Two former Miss USA beauty queens arrived in Manila this week for an exclusive coverage of the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.
Telco leaders added glitz and glam to the much-awaited pageant by flying in Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan and Miss USA 2014 Nia Sanchez. As the official provider of world-class internet for a world-class event, PLDT Home Fibr is all set to bring the ultimate Miss Universe 2016 experience to its subscribers, with Smart as its official mobile counterpart.
Olivia, a good friend and former roommate of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, previously visited the country as a judge for Binibining Pilipinas 2016 and witness Pia crown her Miss Universe-Philippines successor Maxine Medina.
She also recently expressed excitement for Pia, who, on the grand Miss Universe stage in the Philippines, "will be home to pass her crown to the next lucky winner."
Nia, meanwhile, set foot in the Philippines for the first time but is looking forward to seeing the country after having worked with many Filipinos in Hong Kong.
Nia and Olivia arrived in early morning of January 23 at the NAIA Terminal 1.
Their visit was made possible through the invitation of PLDT, the country's largest telecommunication company. They will serve as insiders about the latest happenings of the delegates for the social media site of PLDT.
Olivia placed 2nd runner-up to PIa in 2015 edition of Miss Universe while Nia was 1st runner-up in 2014.
