MANILA, Philippines – Karla Estrada defended Daniel Padilla from his critics, denying that her son walked out from a show.

According to reports, Daniel allegedly walked out during his performance at a free concert in Ilagan City after a group of alleged hecklers flashed him the middle finger, while performing on stage.

“It is not true,” denied Karla in an interview with MJ Felipe, aired in the ABS-CBN late-night news program “Bandila” on Thursday.

“Tinapos niya 'yong show. Kumanta siya nang maayos kasi bale wala naman iyon,” she added.

She admitted that after her son’s performance, he pointed the group of hecklers to his security as a precaution.

However, Karla said Daniel told her that he’s not bothered about the incident.

“Bilang nanay automatic sa iyo na ipagtatanggol mo ang anak mo,” she said. “Pero hangga't okay si Daniel, hangga't relaxed lang siya, hangga't ayaw niyang patulan ang lahat ng ito, e, okay lang ako.”

As a celebrity herself, Karla said it’s inevitable to have bashers and hecklers and that all they can do is to take extra precaution.

She also reminded the public that “lahat kasi ng hindi natin ginagawang maganda, may balik iyan sa iyo.”
