MANILA, Philippines - Shy Carlos is happy over the showbiz success of her "batchmate" Nadine Lustre.

The two started in showbiz together doing commercials. Eventually, they became part of the sing and dance group Pop Girls. They later signed with Viva Talent Management where Nadine was given her big break.

Nadine was paired with James Reid in the film "Diary ng Panget," which kicked off their successful love team.

"Siyempre proud ako kay Nadine," she said in a recent interview. "Kasi sabay kaming pumasok sa Viva, sabay kami nag-start. So para makita mo ang isang kasabayan mo na ganyan na ang naabot niya, siyempre sobrang happy and proud ako sa kanya."

Now that Shy is also given her biggest break, through the TV5-Viva Entertainment show "Tasya Fantasya," she hopes to also finally fulfill her dream in showbiz.

She's just thankful that her talent management has prepared her well for her big break.

"Siyempre sobrang thankful po ako," she said about her latest project. "Ever since binibigyan nila ako ng projects para mag-improve ako and ngayon nga binigay na nila ang Tasya Fantasiya."

She is paired with Mark Neumann, a home-grown talent by TV5 through the talent search show "Artista Academy" in 2011.

Since it's her first time to work with Mark, all Shy could promise is that "since first time namin magkakatrabaho, siguro po susubukan namin pagandahin 'yong chemistry namin onscreen para mahalin ng mga tao. 'Yon po sa ngayon ang kaya namin ipangako."

"Tasya Fantasya" will air Saturdays, starting February 8, 8 p.m. on TV5.
