Will Xian Lim leave his career in Philippines to go international?

MANILA, Philippines – Xian Lim may want to pursue an international career, but he won’t leave his career here in the Philippines.

“Siyempre walag iwanan,” he said in an interview aired in “Aquino and Abunda” on Thursday. “Pero if you can do both, why not? Basta kung saan may bukas na pintuan, papasukin.”

The first international project that the Kapamilya actor worked on is when he voiced the main character in the film “Paddington.”

Now he’s part of the music video of the song “Deeper” by the up and coming international artist Zaña.

Xian is now focused on his upcoming “mobile-serye” “Must Date The Playboy,” where he stars with Kim Chiu and Jessy Mendiola.

Here he plays the role of the playboy Zach, whom he described as “an immature and playful guy."

"Nakikita talaga sa character ni Zach na wala siyang direksyon sa buhay. He just wants to experience the world,” he said.

Despite the immaturity he saw in his character, Xian has learned something from him.

“Kasi ako bilang Xian, parang ang dami kong kinakatakutan, masyado akong maingat. Si Zach naipatikim sa akin paano maging isang playful na tao, ‘yong parang hindi natatakot,” he said.

“Must Date The Playboy” will be available on August 31 for all ABS-CBN Mobile users through the iWant TV application.
