Reply 1997 on GMA tonight

MANILA, Philippines - Starting tonight, GMA Network will take the viewers on a trip down memory lane with its new program, Reply 1997. In this feel-good story, a group of high school friends will meet again after many years.

Join Sandy, Gio, Henry, Jasmine, Joey and Adrian as they look back on their complicated yet colorful teenage years.

Meet Sandy (Jung Eun Ji), a die-hard fan of the boy band H.O.T. who spends all her time swooning over her idols and putting her studies as her least priority.

Sandy’s childhood friend Gio (Seo In Guk) is always willing to help her with her studies. Gio is a boy-next-door type of guy and the class valedictorian. Although they spend almost all their lives together, Gio still can’t admit his feelings for Sandy. Little did he know that the class salutatorian Henry (Hoya) is secretly in love with him, too. Sandy is the only person who knows about Henry’s sexuality and spends a lot of time with her, causing Gio to get extremely jealous.

Meanwhile, Jasmine (Shin So Yul) was also vulnerable to Gio’s charms until she finds out about his feelings for Sandy — her best friend. She and Sandy spend a lot of time together, fantasizing about their favorite boy band. As Adrian, the transferee comes in to her life and their barkada, he will catch Jasmine’s attention and she will eventually fall in love with him.

Of course, a barkada wouldn’t be complete without the funny one. Joey (Lee Si Eon) is the one to play the part. He brings to the group laughter and sometimes, controversial rumors. Also a significant part of their high school life is Gio’s brother TJ (Song Jong Ho), who is also harboring feelings for Sandy.

How is their reunion going to reveal secrets from the past? Who will end up together?
