Myrtle Sarrosa confirms breakup with non-showbiz bf

MANILA, Philippines — Myrtle Sarrosa confirmed that she’s no longer in a relationship with Brian Llamanzares.

Brian is the son of Sen. Grace Poe-Llamanzares. They’ve been together for a year, until they decided to end their relationship three months ago.

“It’s a complicated story. Kasi I don’t want to give details na kasi mahal na mahal ko ‘yong family niya, I respect him and his family," she said in an interview on Friday.

Even though it was a mutual decision, Myrtle admits that the breakup came to her as a surprise since they have a smooth-sailing relationship.

“Kasi it came out of nowhere,” she explained. “Kasi the entire year we didn’t fight, it was only on that day. Kasi sobrang jive ‘yong personality namin, tapos bigla na lang kami nag-away, it’s just one day, ‘yon lang.”

Right now, they don’t have communication which they’ve also agreed on so they could help each other get back on their feet.

After the relationship with Brian, Myrtle learned that “there’s a proper timing for everything.

"Siguro rin you should leave a bit of love for yourself. Kasi after nun nalungkot talaga ako na nasabi ko, I’m worthless, ano nangyari?’ But I realized din na ang daming blessings na binibigay ni Lord,” Myrtle said.

One blessing that came to her is being part of Star Magic Angels, a batch of ladies who are ready to take their careers to the next level, with some sexy image on the side.

Since Myrtle started in the industry having a wholesome and fun image, she admits being hesitant at first to project a sexy image. Until she realized that it’s about time to level up her career.

“Actually medyo natakot ako sa fans ko rin kasi what would they think?” she said about her fans’ reaction on her career move. “Pero nang nakita ko response nila nang mag-cover ako sa FHM, naging supportive sila. So thankful ako talaga sa kanila na hindi nila ako iniwan.”

She doesn’t mind also portraying antagonist roles, which are mostly given to ladies with a sexy image.

“Kasi ‘yong pino-portray naman namin is the character not ourselves. We want to show the people na ‘yong character na ‘yon is may back story naman,” she explained.

Myrtle is currently a courtside reporter for ABS-CBN Sports and Action, a host of Hero TV and part of “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal.”
