MANILA, Philippines - Metalcore fans rejoiced last Feb. 7 when Architects came to Manila and performed before an energetic and eager audience. Fans lined up well before the show to make sure they would get the best spots inside the venue. The show marked the first time Architects played live in the country.
The English band rocked the SM Skydome and with its songs like Gravedigger and Naysayer from the latest album Lost Together // Lost Forever which was released about a year ago. For over an hour, Sam Carter (vocals), Tom Searle (guitars), Dan Searle (drums) and Alex Dean (bass) attacked each song with a lot of gusto that made the crowd go wild. The group also announced that touring guitarist Adam Christianson has become an official member of Architects.
As is common in most rock shows, a circle pit formed in the middle of the crowd which was not only energized the concert-goers, but also the band.
The vegan band (yes, all of the members are vegan!) thanked their Filipino fans for coming out that night. Towards the end of the show, Architects spoke about how much they love the country and how excited they were to see more of it the following day. Everyone came out from the event exhausted but definitely happy.
The show was made possible by PULP Live World and 28 Black in cooperation with Astroplus and Odyssey with official media sponsors, The Philippine STAR, MYX, Monster Radio RX 93.1 and PULP Magazine.
