Rocco Nacino won’t settle down yet with Lovi Poe

Joyce Jimenez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Rocco Nacino and girlfriend Lovi Poe aren’t thinking of settling down soon.

The two have been invited to witness the Manila reception of Heart Evangelista and Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero on Wednesday, aside from Lovi’s presence at the couple’s Balesin wedding last February 15.

“Batang-bata pa kami,” Rocco explained in an interview on Friday. “I’m just happy na I’m in love ngayon. Everything will take place in the right timing lang.”

Although he admitted that they would sometimes talk about it, they wanted to focus first on their respective careers and support each other.

Rocco is part of the independent film “Balut Country,” which is featured in the very first Sinag Maynila Film Festival. The festival was a brain-child of Wilson Tieng and Brillantes Mendoza.

Rocco will portray the role of Jun, a musician who grew up in Manila and goes back to his hometown after his father passed away.

“[Bumalik] siya para kunin ang namana,” he added, describing his role. “Una balak niya ay ibenta for his [benefit] kasi may pinagdadaanan siya. So throughout the movie malalaman niya ‘yong history ng family niya, importance of going back and not just thinking about himself.”

The film will be screened starting March 18 to 24 in a daily rotation basis on SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, SM Manila, SM Fairview, SM Southmall, and SM Aura Premier.

The Sinag Maynila film festival awards night will happen on March 21.
