Dennis highly commended at 19th Asian TV Awards

MANILA, Philippines - Dennis Trillo (photo) is basking in the success of his career after being honored with the Highly Commended Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 19th Asian TV Awards (ATA) last Dec. 11 in Singapore.

Dennis was recognized for his outstanding performance in the phenomenal GMA 7 primetime series My Husband’s Lover last year. It was the first gay-themed series on Philippine TV which captured the fascination of many Filipino viewers and critics not only in the country but also overseas.

Dennis was also a presenter for the Best Lifestyle Program and Best Current Affairs Presenter/Host during the awards night.

GMA’s homegrown director Dominic Zapata was also nominated in the Best Direction category for the same project. 

At present, director Dominic and Dennis are working together in the primetime drama Hiram na Alaala. 

Founded in 1996, ATA is the Asian TV industry’s most significant and celebrated event, recognizing excellence in programming, production and performance.
