Newest Masculados member
MANILA, Philippines - After being chosen as one of the Masculados in training when the Search for New Masculados concluded last September at the Fisher Mall and after the six-day workshops on voice and dance, the 20-year-old Bulakenyo, Fernando Zomera (photo) is the newest member of the 12-year-old all-male sing-and-dance group, Masculados.
Productions56, Inc. president and GM, director Maryo J. delos Reyes along with the voice coach Anthony Salazar and choreographer Donald Balbuena chose the six-feet-tall and well-chiseled Zomera.
“We based our choice on his strong personality as well as his impressive performance. Fernando stood out according to the evaluations of the three mentors. He also fits well the vision of being a Masculado,” direk Maryo J. commented.
“I am glad that they chose me. This is my way of helping my mother, and hoping that I could continue my college education as well,” shared Zomera.
Zomera is from Paombong, Bulacan, who pursued vocational education on computer literacy. He is also a first year HRM student at La Consolacion-Malolos. He had to quit school due to financial constraints. He will join the newly-introduced member, the Filipino-Austrian David Karell and the rest of the Masculados — Robin Robel, Enrico Mofar, Ozu Ong, Orlando Sol and Nico Cordova and Lexter Lazaro, who will graduate from the group next year.
The Masculados are preparing for their 13th anniversary concert in February 2015 titled Dumadagundong na 13. For details, visit the Facebook page — /TheMasculados.
