Salomon holds Citytrail Manila event

MANILA, Philippines - Salomon brings something new and exciting to the running community by promoting Citytrail running with the first-ever Salomon Citytrail Manila event, which was held last Sept. 7 in Intramuros, Manila.

The first to be held in the country, Salomon Citytrail is a global event conducted in other countries including the US, and select countries in Europe and Asia such as Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The event was also in line with the launch of Salomon’s latest Citytrail products — all of which converge to mobilize Salomon’s Elevate Your Run campaign.

For the Salomon Citytrail Manila 2014, Salomon explored various options within the city of Manila and decided the race venue to be held within the heart of the Metro. Raising the bars of the community’s running experience, the event was held in the oldest city in the Philippines — the Walled City of Intramuros.

Divided into two categories of 6k and 12k, the course was not your typical road run with challenges including going up stairs, bridges, ramps and maze-like alleys within Intramuros.

The top three male and female winners per distance were awarded with R.O.X. gift certificates, Salomon products and other freebies. Plus, raffle items were given away as a treat to the participants.
