All's well with Jolo, says Jodi Sta. Maria

MANILA, Philippines — “Basta, maayos po ang lahat.”
Thus said Jodi Sta. Maria when asked about boyfriend Jolo Revilla during a press conference for slimming product Cosmo Body on Wednesday, September 10.
It was earlier rumored that Jodi's relationship with Jolo is on the rocks due to issues the Revilla family is facing. Jolo is the son of Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., who is currently facing graft and plunder charges.
But the “Be Careful With My Heart” star refused to explain further, saying she wants to keep part of her private life to herself.
“Kasi syempre, hindi naman kaila sa inyo na kapag may mga ganung bagay, tinitira ko po yun para sa sarili ko,” she said.
Jodi is part of the upcoming horror film “Maria Leonora Teresa,” which premieres on September 17. Of course, she's still working on “Be Careful With My Heart,” the long-running ABS-CBN morning series she co-stars with Richard Yap.
“Be Careful With My Heart” has been on television for over two years now. Is she already getting tired of portraying Maya, the morning's bubbly and light protagonist?
“Hindi naman sa napapagod. Napapagod siguro dahil sa schedule. Pero yung napapagod gawin yung teleserye, hindi,” Jodi said.
Jodi said she does not know until when the show will run. However, she admits feeling excited over the idea of welcoming a new character to portray.
“Ako, I would want to do another role. Nae-excite ako sa bagong challenge na iwe-welcome ko kapag may ginawa akong bago,” she said. “Gusto ko rin magbalik sa drama. Kumbaga kasi, sobrang naging light ng 'Be Careful With My Heart'.”
Jodi added: “Pero ang gusto ko po talaga is yung makakapag-impart ng good morals and values sa mga manonood. Kasi napakalaki po ng impluwensya ng telebisyon sa mga manonood.”
“Kung may ipapalabbas po tayo, sana yung kapupulutan ng aral, especially ng ma kabataan.”
When “Be Careful With My Heart” does end, Jodi said she plans to go on a vacation to “wash off” the character of Maya.
“Para pagdating ko sa susunod na trabaho, ibang-iba kararkter na naman ang mapapanood,” she said.
