Ara Mina denies Cristine Reyes' pregnancy
"Natatawa lang ako. Kasi siguro in-assume rin nilang buntis din si Cristine kasi buntis ako, buntis ang sister ko," she said in an interview on Tuesday.
Ara is six months pregnant with her long-time partner Bulacan Mayor Patrick Meneses. This is her second pregnancy after having a miscarriage in December.
Though Cristine's pregnancy is not true, Ara told reporters that her younger sister already wants to have a child.
"Si Cristine naman, inaamin naman niyang gusto na rin niyang mag-baby. Very open naman siya do'n, pero sabi ko nga sa kanya, 'paunahin mo muna ko!'"
"So baka next year siya," she added, joking.
Ara also defended her sister, after the latter walked out in an event when she was asked about her rumored pregnancy.
"Siya talaga pag ayaw niya, ayaw niya," Ara said describing her sister's personality. "Sana maintindihan ng iba, 'yong iba naman kilala na ugali ni Cristine, e."
Now that Ara's expecting a baby girl, Patrick is very strict when it comes to her health.
"Nag-bed rest ako, hindi naman kailangan pero careful na si Patrick kasi ayaw na niyang maulit 'yong nangyari dati," she said. "So hindi ako masyado nagtatanggap ng guestings, 'di ako masyadong nag-work."
Although she's part of the TV5 musical series "Trenderas," where she portrays a mom to Lara Maigue, one of the lead stars.
"May cut off ako," she replied when asked if she has limitations when it comes to work. "Pero hindi na nga natutupad 'yong cut off kasi maaga pa nga sa cut off 'yong tapos ng taping ko. Tsaka very magaan ang trabaho, tsaka mommy lang naman ang role ko, mas marami silang eksena."
Joining Ara and Lara in the show are Isabelle de Leon, Katrina Velarde, Tina Paner, Dingdong Avenzado, Rez Cortez, Carl Guevarra, Edward Mendez, Kitkat, K Brosas, and Cacai Bautista.
"Trenderas" will start airing on Saturday, September 13, 9p.m..
