Heart on upcoming wedding: 'It will all fall into place'

MANILA, Philippines —"I don't really have a specific word to explain how ecstatic I am about the feeling of finally being with someone," Heart Evangelista said when asked about her recent engagement to Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero.

During the launch of beauty line Pond's Dewy Rose Whitening Soft Gel product on Monday, September 1, the GMA-7 star said she feels "excited and stressed at the same time" over her upcoming marriage to Escudero, who proposed to the 29-year-old actress last August 22.

"I was very conscious about this whole thing. Conscious lang siguro ako because I've never been engaged before. Everything is super new to me," Heart told members of the press. "But I'm super excited. Excited and stressed at the same time."

She added, "It's really stressful. But at the same time, I'm really just trying to enjoy it because it's not a long engagement."

"It's not like I have a lot of time to, you know, sit around and just look at my ring," Heart quipped.

Heart said she is yet to iron out the details of her wedding—including its location and theme. "At the end of the day, as long as the groom doesn't change, okay lang," she quipped.
As previous reported, Heart said she's eyeing February 14 or 15 next year as the date of her wedding. 

"I plan to get married February 14 or 15. It depends pa. We're still deciding where exactly kasi we want it really intimate and small lang," she said. "And then we want another one where we can invite everybody to go, to have fun with friends and family, hopefully."

Heart added, "Basta we want it (wedding) out of town. But we have to consider some people who can't go out of town so we're still deciding."

"I'm just taking it a day at a time. We're enjoying ourselves, loving ourselves. And then it will all fall into place," Heart said, who admits feeling stressed over wedding preparations and those who bash her on social media.

How does she deal with bashers? "Choosing your battles and focusing on happy thoughts because you only get married once."
She further joked, "Well, me. Chiz (will get) married twice. But not me. This is it. It's the last one."
