Is Anne Curtis the reason why Sam Milby is still single?

Joyce Jimenez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Former sweethearts Sam Milby and Anne Curtis are working together again after the fantasy series “Dyesebel.”

"Nagpapasalamat ako na nagkasama kami ulit sa mga projects. I believe in destiny," Sam told the showbiz media when asked if he thinks Anne is "the gift" given to him.

Sam and Anne faced the media for the launch of their latest film together, "The Gifted," directed by Chris Martinez. Cristine Reyes joins them in the main cast.

Sam, however, clarified: "I believe in fate and we both have gone different ways in terms of our personal lives. And I’m just happy to start over again ‘yong friendship namin ni Anne. Now we’re okay, we’re cool.”

During the press conference proper for the film, some members of the media noticed similarities in how Sam's and Anne's answers to almost all the questions thrown at them.

A member of the media asked: “Do you think Anne is ‘the gift’ given to you but you let her pass by?”

“Awkward,” Sam said laughing. “I think, first po I think it everything happens for a reason.”

Anne, meanwhile, agreed that she could still be friends with Sam. “It’s possible for exes to be friends.”

The Kapamilya actress said that the two of them haven't talked with each other since they ended their relationship, until they worked together again in "Dyesebel."

“It’s great to know Sam all over again, to speak to him and become friends again. Kasi I would think na ‘yong gift na binigay ni God ngayon na we got to know each other and let it pass and be friends again.”
