James, Nadine love team now a Kapamilya

MANILA, Philippines - James Reid and Nadine Lustre have signed a two-year contract with ABS-CBN.

After the success “Diary ng Panget” and “Talk Back and You're Dead,” which is currently running in cinemas, the up and coming love team will work on a TV series with the Kapamilya network.

“Dito ako nagsimula sa PBB (Pinoy Big Brother), so it feels good to be home,” James said in an interview with Mario Dumaual aired on ABS-CBN's “TV Patrol” on Tuesday night, after the contract signing.

Nadine, meanwhile, said that being with ABS-CBN is still "surreal."

By joining the Kapamilya network, Nadine's and James' love team is expected to be closely compared against the Kathryn Bernardo-Daniel Padilla team up.

Nadine and James said that being compared against the hottest love team in showbiz today is a compliment.

“It's natural to compare,” James said. “I think it'll be good for us being upcoming stars. They're the biggest love team."

Nadine, meanwhile, said that she would not want the two love teams' fans to clash.

“Ayokong makitang nag-aaway sila [fans]. Parang you can fight somewhere else pero hindi sa page ko kasi ayoko talaga ng nag-aaway,” she said.
