Erasing Hate Aug. 7 on Solar News Channel

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Erasing Hate is Bryon Widner’s journey of removing his racist facial tattoos as well as his efforts of reforming himself.

At 14, Bryon got involved with racist organizations in the US. He co-founded Vinladers Social Club, a white power group in Indiana that gained a reputation of excessive violence.

In 2005, Bryon married Julie Larsen. He decided to reform and left the organization. He received death threats and was harassed even as he tried to turn his life around. He was also troubled by his extensive facial tattoos, which expressed violence and racism. He decided to get rid of them with the help of the Southern Poverty Law Center and an anonymous donor who donated $35,000 for the procedures.

Follow Bryon’s journey to escape from life of addiction, bigotry, and hatred. Find out if the society that he once hated will accept him after the extensive changes he goes through.

Erasing Hate airs on Aug. 7 at 8 p.m. on Solar News Channel.
