‘Got Talent’ tilt at PRC’s 41st-year event

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) literally glittered with stars during its 41st Foundation Anniversary celebration dubbed PRC Rising in Unity for Nation-building.

The first-ever PRC fun run held at the Diosdado Macapagal Ave. in Pasay City kicked off the weeklong festivity and was participated in by a thousand runners from the National Capital Region with Derek Ramsay’s presence spicing up the activity. The event was highlighted with the symbolic laying of the PRC time capsule at the soon-to-be built PRC Executive Office.

The search for the 2014 PRC Got Talent drew cheers as stars dazzled the evening with song numbers. Among the roster of performers were Martin Nievera, Billy Crawford, couple Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza, Nina, Jaya, K Brosas and Andrew E. Also in attendance were guest judges Carmi Martin and Coleen Garcia.

It was Janssen Quinto of Lucena, who bagged this year’s PRC Got Talent title with a beatbox number, beating all the eight other contenders from the PRC Central Office.

The PRC Got Talent, which started in June 2012, is a project of the Philippine Association of Professional Regulatory Board Members, Inc. (PAPRB, Inc.) under the dynamic trio of Dr. Vivian Sarabia (PRB-Optometry), Dr. Steve Mark Gan (PRB-Dentistry) and PRC officer Bernadette Reyes (PRB-Physical and Occupational Therapy).

Capping the week-long celebration is the awarding of the Outstanding Professionals and the Eric Nubla Excellence Award at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) with Dulce serenading the awardees and participants with songs of yesteryear.
